Want a Discount on Botox? Groupon May Not Be the Answer
It’s been dubbed the Great Recession. But what’s so great about it? It seems to have no end in sight! During these “lean” years, everybody is looking for ways to tighten their budgets. The first things to get cut are usually those daily trips to Starbucks and other perceived “little luxuries.”
But if you have used Botox in the past to wipe a few years off your face, then you know it’s not so easy to quit. Botox really works! Almost everybody who tries it, loves it. So even during a recession, most people will stil keep up with their Botox treatments. However, more people than ever are looking for ways to still get Botox - but spend less money doing it.
Yes, during this Great Recession, even I’ve used Groupon and Living Social coupons. But I don’t think they work well for certain things, and Botox injections is one of them.
With a Botox Groupon coupon, you may end up with a very low price for Botox. However, there are several problems with this. You may think you’re comparing apples to apples, but you may be comparing apples to rotten oranges.
Groupon Botox Coupons - Do You Trust the Injector?
With Groupon, you will probably have little to no say about who is injecting you. Is it a nurse or a doctor? Is it a specific injector, or just whoever is available? Is the Botox you’re getting the freshest possible? Did the injector just finish a weekend training course, and needs to build up his/ her business? Or are things just a little slow, and your injector just needs to make his/ her monthly stash to pay for their Mercedes?
Groupon Botox Coupons are Only Good For - Well, Botox
If you just want Botox, then great, a coupon will help out. However, if you are also interested in other products like skin care, dermal fillers, or eyelash lengtheners, then these coupons will obviously not work.
Groupon Botox Coupons Offer a One-Time Deal
A Groupon for Botox will give you a discount on one treatment. But uh oh. You love it. And now you’re hooked. Botox only lasts for 3-4 months, so you will likely need to get more Botox injections on a repeat basis. If you actually like the Groupon injector, you will be unpleasantly surprised by the “normal” price of Botox. As long as you’re aware of that, great. If you’re looking for a new deal every 3-4 months, then you may find inconsistent results with your Botox injections, because you’ll never see the same injector twice.
Don’t Be a Downer You Say? What To Do? Brilliant Distinctions Rewards Program
Brilliant Distinctions is a rewards program, run by Allergan, the makers of Botox. You earn points for every Botox injection. Once you hit 200 points, you get $25 off of your next injection.
Plus, you can get discounts for OTHER services and products, not just Botox. Juvederm, a dermal filler, is a very popular complementary product with Botox, since filling a wrinkle may still be needed. Latisse, the only prescription medicine that lengthens and darkens eyelashes, is also eligible to either generate points when you purchase it, or you can use your accumulated points to buy it.
So, if you’ve been getting Botox and Juvederm treatments, or you have been buying Latisse, but you have never heard of the Brilliant Distinctions Rewards Program, I would suggest that you sign up immediately, and start saving some money.
With Brilliant Distinctions, you can choose the injector, develop a relationship with him/ her, and you should be able to achieve consistent results with a reliable doctor or nurse. I believe this is less of a “crap shoot,” since you will have a better result with a single injector who understands your unique facial anatomy and what doses of Botox you need to achieve your best look.
